I think there are a variety of factors that come together which make most people recoil at animal cruelty and death more than human. I just love these albums because you can listen to them over and over again and keep noticing new things, and it's evident trent reznor, et al, spent so much time crafting and orchestrating each track to perfection. I don't think anyone would say 'the cats deserved to live more than jun lin'.
